About Us

Gelbvieh Australia Pty Ltd was founded in 1988 by Margaret Wilksch and she and her children are the Share Holders.
Margaret was then Principle and Studmaster of the successful Vernon Park Murray Grey Stud. At that time the Murray Grey herd was over 400 females and the Stud had built a reputation for being successful not only on the Show scene but in producing Champion Carcasses in Competion in South Australia, at the Sydney Royal and particularly the Melbourne Royal Shows. In the 1980s a steer from Vernon Park was the Champion Coles Class Carcass and in the following year Vernon Park showed the Champion Safeway Carcass.
